MARTIN LUTHER KING Jr. DAY
Yesterday, January 16th, 2006, was Martin Luther King Day in the United States of America. This holiday is to remember and recognize the achievements of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Dr. King spent most of his life fighting for equality between all races and particularly for the rights of Black Americans. As well as being a Doctor of Philosophy, Martin Luther King was also a Reverend and won the 1964 Nobel Peace Prize. There are many famous quotes and speeches from Dr. King, the most famous one entitled, “I have a Dream”.
